Travel Insurance?

Are you looking for a new way to travel or for a way to have an extended adventure overseas?  Well, perhaps one of these programs can provide the right inspiration.

Study Abroad
Interested in studying overseas?  Here are a few great resources:

StudyAbroad.com - great place to start to research ideas
StudyAbroadLinks.com - excellent resource of links by destination, activity, categories, etc.

For High School Students - the above links have great resources for teens, but you also may want to look at AFS

Financial Aid & Scholarship

Work & Teach
Looking to continue the fun overseas, but you need to make some cash?  Well, check out these programs that can help you pay your bills.
BUNAC - the company is very comprehensive and has a ton of great opportunities abroad including Work/Holiday Visas. The Work/Holiday visa is a great program becuase it allows you to legally work and travel within a country for a few months.   There are limited countries available for this program, but Australia and New Zealand are both included!
BUNAC is especially good to look through if you are American, British or Irish.

Teach English - Think you don't have any skills?  Well, now all you native English speakers can just go overseas and teach English!
TEFL - Teaching English as a Foreign Language
Also check out Dave's ESL Cafe

Short-term Jobs for that "GAP" year

Camp America - This is a great way for foreigners to come to the US. Spend a summer hanging out at in the sunshine teaching kids.  There are all sorts of camps and all sorts of situations, so shop around.  We knew a lot of counselors from United Kingdom, Netherlands, Australia, New Zealand, France, Ireland. The counselors would get their ticket to the US, work (and party) all summer, and then travel afterwards and take their flight home when they were ready.

PeaceCorp - There are all sorts of jobs available in all sorts of places around the world.  It's hard work in third world countries, but all of our peace corp buddies were really inspired and changed by the experience.

Americorp - If you don't want to find yourself outside of the US, but like the idea of Peace Corp, then maybe Americorp is for you.  It's US National Community Service and well-worth the experience.

Au pairs are needed within the US and in other countries. If nannying is your thing then check out these organizations for more information.interExchange, Childcare International

Woofing is fast becoming the way to travel/work abroad.  What is woofing??  Well, it's working on a farm and you can do it in many countries around the world.  Or for those Organic Conscious People there is Organic Volunteers
