| First words in a language you need to learn
are “How much”, “Where do I find”, “Beer”, and “Piss off” but a mate of mine in
Argentina
had taken a few Spanish classes and thought that it was time to converse with
the locals. When he was on a local bus in Buenos Aires he happened to tell a
women “Soy extrano” (I’m strange) as opposed to the “Soy extranero” (I’m a
foreigner). I think she may have guessed that he was both strange and a
foreigner. Needless to say he had to resort to trying to pick up Swedish
tourists after that mistake.
