Travelers under 30 years old simply choose which one of 4 cards
available depending on how much Travel Insurance coverage is

Debit Card and Phone Card accounts when they purchase their Tripplus
Travel Card.
Student & Youth Cards There are many discounts if you can prove you are a student. Unfortunately, sometimes your college ID is not
recognized. We recommend you invest in one of these great student id programs:
Student Advantage Card - This is a perfect card for US University Students (even when you are not traveling). It offers great discounts on Greyhound, Amtrak, Eurail, Choice Hotels, EF College Break, DOLLAR Car rental, and many of your favorite stores!
ISE Cards - An internationally recognized identification and discount card that will cost $25 per year. The ISE Card is available to students of any age, faculty/teacher members and youths aged 12 to 26 years. They have a Discount Database by country to search out bargains. They also provide money towards medical expenses and evacuation fees, Worldwide Assistance for emergencies and some Airline Bankruptcy Protection (read the fine print).

Rail & Transport Discounts RAIL - Getting around Europe by train is a great and inexpensive

we know have ended up in countries past their original planned
destination!
Eurailpass is like a discount card. You can get all sorts of packages for traveling by rail through Europe. (Here’s a dodgy tip - we used to be
able to change the dates we wrote on our card and get extra trips in...But we think they caught on and have changed the format!) Eurailpasses can now be ordered online directly from the Eurail Group. They are also available through travel agents,

( 800-782-2424; www.der.com). Car - If you are traveling via car in the USA the best membership card to have is from AAA. You can get
Hostel Discount Cards Hostelling International Membership Cards - You have to be a member to stay at an HI Hostel. Their membership provides discounts
on items such as transportation, restaurants, entertainment, etc. Youth
memberships are free until age 18.
VIP Backpackers - They have a large chain of hostels especially in Europe, Australia and New Zealand. With the VIP Membership Card you are entitled to cheaper accommodations
at all the great VIP hostels around the world, discounts on
coach/bus passes, trains, car hires, international phone calls,
ferries, restaurants, safari tours, scuba diving, rafting, horse
trekking and lots more... Apart from the membership card you will also
receive one of the following guides within your kit: Australia/New
Zealand, Africa, Europe, or The America's (North, Central & South)
Nomads Card is particularly focused on those traveling in UK and Australia. It gives access to discounts at hostels.
American Express® Travelers Cheques Discount American Express® Travelers Cheques offers $500 Discount Card for Peak Summer Travel Season. It's available to purchasers of at least
$500 in American Express® Travelers Cheques Products bought between
June 1 and August 31, 2006 (we assume it will be on offer next year). This new Discount Card offers savings of
10-50% on hotels, airfare, dining and entertainment, up to $500. There are also many benefits and promotions run for purchases with your Visas and Mastercards. Also, frequent flyer programs have their own list of discounts and benefits...it's worth looking into.
