I fried my touch screen CD-player alarm clock, a sharperImage item, because I didnt realize my adapter wasn't also a converter. overall its just better to spend those ten euros on a hair dryer when you get there and use a small battery-powered alarm clock or the alarm setting on your phone. My laptop also had the automatic converter.
