VENICE - Canal ride, coffee breaks, old Jewish Getto. ROME - the historical sites. FLORENCE - the museums - Uffizi, Palazzo Vecchio, Jewish Temple (very ornate), CINQUE TERRA - the most beautiful place in Italy - you can hike along the cliff edge over looking the Mediterranean between the 5 towns. VERONA - lame town even with the Juliet statue. PISA - only stay an hour to see the leaning tower. SIENNA - really really beautiful, but I hear it has become an unbearable tourist town. CAPRI - very relaxing. swimming in the caves kind of freaked me out. POMPEII - it was really interesting, except for the security guard who wanted to take me on a private tour of the sex drawings. I recommend taking the train from city to city. Very reliable and relaxing. | My Route:

I felt safe most of the time, but the more southern I went the sketchier it got especially for a solo woman traveler. |
