Pubs & Bars There is really only one important thing to do in London - go to a pub. I was in London for 5 months as part of study abroad with Richmond University. Our local was Builder's Arms in Kensington which has hosted probably every American study abroad student in London. The pub was conveniently located between our dorm and our classes, so hence we spent more time there than anywhere else. With Irish & Aussie bartenders (you never do meet a Brit bartending in London) it was a dream for a single girl...all those accents!
When we wanted to shake things up, we headed out on a Circle Line pub crawl. Basically, the idea is to get out at every stop on the tube and have a pint at the closest pub. Well, considering the pubs closed at 11pm (at that time - they are now open later) and the tube closed at 12pm...we did not get very far along.
