Dining & Drinking Papusas - they are an awesome. Street food - dough cooked with either cheese or beans. They cook them on the streets everywhere we went in El Salvador. There are also these mega-sized jars full of slasa that I highly recommend you put on top...well, only if you can take spice. Vegetarian friendly!
Other In San Salvador we stayed at - El Torogoz - it was run by a decent nice lady. We had a TV, private bath, great breakfast, free internet and a cheap cinema in walking distance. As this is not the place to wander the streets at night, the cinema was very key! There must be more guns in San Salvador then people.
Arts & Culture On route from San Salvador to Honduras we pin at La Palma. There was a famous artist from this town. His work is seen all over the souveneirs and buildings in El Salvador. There is not much to do there besides walk the two main streets and look at souvenir shops, but it was a nice break. The people were lovely and there were no other tourists.
